    Idaho trip

Tomorrow I'm heading back from a week in Idaho. My wife had an event here. While she was off I went to a local show and a few LGS's. In one LGS I asked if they had any GI carbines, they puled down an Auto Ord. When I said it wasn't GI they told me it was. I left. Not one GI carbine in four shops or the gun show. I only saw a couple new Auto Ord's and a Citadel .22 at $400.

I'm a bit bummed by it. Soothed that a bit buying some fireworks.

We are not allowed fireworks in Australiaicon I think the Northern Territory could have them but not sure now apparently when we could have them (I just loved Guy Fawkes night as a kid) we tended to blow to many things up with our 4 penny bangers (they resembled 1/2 a stick of Dynamite good for letterboxes) start to many fires from the bonfires and had to many kids go to hospital.

Tell ya the Govt here had no sense of adventure at the time and I wont go down the road of the banning of semi auto's and pump actioned rifles and shotguns as that is still a real sore point and unconstitutional move by the Govt in power at the time.

What is it about fireworks that one can't grow out of?

Seeing the News here this evening Jim about more big fires in CA.
    Travel safe.

I've also been worried about our collecting buddies down south with these huge storms and heavy rains.

Tracers at night out into the Pacific is hard to beat

Now possession of a single tracer round is a felony. That means that there are about 2 million new felons in the Golden State just waiting to get busted for something that they have no knowledge of. Marcus: obviously you don't appreciate our situation here in Paradise. Every voice must be heard and every problem must be solved. If it involves ruining life for everyone else, that's just too bad. These bozos just passed a law making plastic bags illegal. You can get a bag but you have to pay them 10 cents to get it. These fools sit there with smug self satisfaction on their faces and don't even realize that they have just transferred the cost of bagging materials from the supermarket onto the customer.

I think the cost of bags were transferred from the supermarket to the consumer a long time ago, back when they were paper. But not by politicians. Shifting costs is just "good business sense"
