I was about just about out the door with my shoulder aching when a table called me over and he bought it for what I was asking. "Sheeeesh"

Care to share what you were asking?

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I have tried that. Rarely works for me. I have no poker face.

Of course , being about 35 years younger might have helped them a tad.

I didn't figure that variable in. I was born in 1958.

$900.... The M1icon was mostly original earlier Winchester. The rear sight and op rod were the only upgrades done in the field. It never went through an arsenal and had the original 'GAW' on the stock.

I wouldn't have sold it but my wife left me for another 'woman' nine months back and our assets are still tied up in court. I'm having to sell my best guns to pay utilities now.

I was curious to compare with prices to local ones. About the same. I would have paid it.
On the other note been there and would not wish it on anyone. Fortunately it happened to me early on & not much to fight over though her lawyer ended up with my 65 Mustang. One good thing I really found out who my friends were & they are still my friends today. I hope you have a similar positive expericnce in a negitive situation.
I'll keep you in my prayers.
