    Non refurbished M1917 Eddystone.

It's been a long time coming for me to own an unmessed with Eddystone,, I think I did well. The rifle is ALL Eddystone and has honest wear for a weapon nearly 100yrs old. You'll have to trust me when I say the bore is pristine to the naked eye.

Now for the story..... Apparently I'm the 4th owner of this rifle and,,,what for it..... It was found under the floor boards with tens of others in there crates at the Eddystone factory in one of the buildings being demolished... So, in theory this rifle has never left Delaware County Pennsylvania. Gotta be worth double the going nut!! Sweet huh?...
    Thanks in advance for looking.....

Nice, nice, nice...can you imagine pulling up the boards and finding crates? This is a story I've heard many times from demo companies. Guns in old houses and buildings...not me though.
    Regards, Jim

WOW, another beauty, what a find.
Interesting, my Eddystone is #, 827,8xx supposedly made in 1918. Wish it looked like that.
    Still a tack driver too.

Very nice Warpig! It makes me wonder about the origin of my own 11-18 barrel Model 1917. As with yours the bore looks very, very nice and overall very good cosmetically. Surprising thing about mine was that in-spite of the condition, the action/ barrel weren't properly bedded which required significant shortening of the front collar, etc. As I've managed to get proper up-pressure at the forend tip it's started to group. Does yours appear to have left the factory with decent bedding? Maybe some very late war guns didn't receive proper attention?

There is very little tip pressure, maybe a few pounds. I'm not sure if that was intended or not to be honest but it is the only contact the barrel has with the stock. The bedding appears to be uniform.
