Peter, I copied this from another thread, but this is the failure.. https://www.milsurps.com/images/impo...stuff007-1.jpg

I was able to fire 5 more rounds through this without issue before I realized something broke off... What would cause the bolt to stick closed.. I assumed this part broke off during bolt closure , and didn't allow the bolt to fully close, then the bolt would not fully open due to this piece being stuck in there. Once the piece was removed, it appeared to function properly.

That is IMPORTANT It is the safety stud that prevents the rifle from firing if the bolt isn't fully closed.

Yes, you'll need a new bolt for that...

OK guys, thanks for the help. I've found new old stock bolts online for $30, but I'm assuming it's going to cost a fortune to have a smith repair this, since we don't have any around here that I'm aware of. I only paid $300 for this and I would guess with shipping and fitting work, I've now got a wall hanger...

All that has to be done is transfer the parts over to the new bolt body and headspace. You can change the parts across and have a qualified gunsmith headspace it. That won't cost much.

Oh OK! I had read Peter's docs on fitting a new bolt, and it looked fairly involved to the point of being expensive!

A wall hanger.......... That's what I call spoiling the ship for 2c's worth of tar! Fitting a new bolt should be fairly basic if you just follow the instructions. You don't know what it'll cost unless you ask someone.........

After estimating shipping and work done to get it to Brian at BDLicon, with worst case time value, I could be in at roughly $200. I only paid $300 for it in the first place. If I had such excellent gentlemen as yourselves living close by I'm sure things would not be so horrible, and I'd learn a thing or two...
