Interest in getting some 174g MkVII style proj made.
I am a member of a group on Facebook dedicated to Enfields. Someone has popped up saying they are making projectiles for long range shooting of Nagants and LE.
They are only at 'getting interest to see if we can do it' stage but they claim that they can do a 174g MkVII style bullet for us. It isn't cheap at circa $45 for 50, then you have to add shipping for us Antipodeans, but if there is enough interest it may make it viable to get some done.
I have no connection to the seller, not even in the same country. I recall a thread a while ago about getting Mk VII projectiles and thought I would see what interest there was here.

There is a great deal of interest here in North America in obtaining "Proper" 174gr MkVII projectiles. By "Proper" I mean flat base, not one of the many BT varieties out there. I like many others, are always on the lookout for the correct flat base projectiles. The next big issue is what diameter they should be??? My vote would be for .313" at least.

These guys say that all we have to do is ask for a flat base and we will get one. As for the diameter .. I'll let far more experienced people than me answer that.

There is a difference between flat base and open flat base Mk7. 311 or 312 is the size.

Hi Bindi, I know that, but I would suggest that either is a better idea than a BT. I know that the size is nominally .311/312.. I have no idea which works better.
