    Dies for .45 Long Colt

An Internet search provided contradictory information on whether one could load .45 LC rounds using .45 ACP dies. It appears that is is possible and in fact is done by many reloaders. Does someone here have specific knowledge about the correct procedure to load .45 LC rounds using .45 ACP dies? I would appreciate some assistance on this issue.. Thanks in advance. --Regards

The 45 ACP dies will work just fine. I've done it and at the time used 225 gr cast bullets destined to be 45 ACP ammo. It worked just fine.

I have .45 LC and .45 ACP dies but, I wind up using the ACP dies for both since they are carbide and do a better job of sizing. If I were loading .454 diameter bullets I would worry about it but, I shoot .452 so, no problems.
