I have a p59 1944 ammo box in great shape original , still has rope ties on front intact, no rust at all , anybody have any info on it.thanks

I'd keep and employ it myself if I was you. I have a couple of those around also...we used to get mortar ammo or arty ammo in those. We used them for various carry purposes after. That one obviously dates back a bit. They also held PIAT ammo if I remember correctly...someone else will be along shortly...
