My first MK V. When it arrived the bore was in need of a very good scrub. That task complete I headed out to the range, skipping the usual "welcome to the family" linseed and lubrication treatment. Wood is a wee bit dry.
Shot it out of a rest(to factor me out) using off the shelf Remington UMC 174 grain. First shot was high the rest of the group settled in, should have sent a couple into the backstop first.

It grouped better than almost all of the modern rifle/optic combos on the line that day. Love when an older girl shoots the lights out.

ColdZero: That's a beauty! I've had my own (#2630) for a few months now but haven't had it to the range yet. Seeing your results has motivated me to get it out there next session.

Cold Zero,
Is there snow on the ground in Alberta now?? Couldn't help but notice. If so, I won't complain about the heat here in Southern California!!

Excellent results from the shooting and great pics. Love to seem them down on the range - looks like you were more cold than zero that day.

Don't wait too long! And be prepared to give a small history lesson for those interested.

Brian B, PrinzEugen,
Thanks. No snow here(yet), been a warmer than typical summer this year. I had the rifle out after Christmas, did not get around to posting pictures for a bit. Weather will be cooling down here soon...

ColdZero: Yes, it has been a pretty hot summer here. Hard to believe my range (Buffalo Target Shooters at Sibbald Flats) was still snowed in on May 8th!
