AG42b Ammo

I've been told this has been asked and answered, but I just can't find it searching this forum, so I apologise for repeating it. Even a point to the thread would help I'm sure.

I just picked up an AG42b (in Canada) and from the online reading on ammo, I am really confused about what I can shoot if I don't reload, including oil the rounds - don't oil the rounds etc.

Looking for recommendations on what I should use or watch out for?

You need 6,5 x 55 Swedish Mauser ammo, 139 grain or 140 grain. Try some different brands and use the ones that works best for you rifle. You don't need to oil the rounds.

If you oil ammo, it will raise the chamber pressure to an exponential...then you may find strange things in your eye sockets, like your receiver. Hot ammo may not be a good diet for that rifle, some of these guys will have the right info for you. Before they send though, I hope they can understand we're in Canada and many brands of ammo in the states just don't migrate up here...

On the upside though, you're really going to like shooting that one once you get at it.
