A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Made by the Finns for target shooting, military trainers. Uncommon and desired.

The Finns made them for target shooting out of regular stock. Model 28/76. I think that they got new barrels and extra attention in the assembly.

One of the things that is running the price up is that it is a "No FFL" antique. Can be shipped direct to the buyer.
Centerfire Systems sold those target models a while back and I can't remember the price. They weren't cheap.

I just found the old price from Centerfire Systems, they sold them for $599.99.

I think the Centerfire Systems & J&G ones were in the $600 range.

Yup, because at the time around here they were calling them "Sniper" training rifles. I remember they were high because I picked one up, looked at it an put it right back in the rack laughing in my head.
