Does your trigger housing look anything like this?

AFAIK National Postal Meter is the only manufacturer that stamped a NUMBER on the rear side of the trigger housing, and usually had an N stamped on the same side or opposite side depending on the revision number. A picture would help for more accurate ID.

First and always, pictures would help a ton. Where is the 7 stamped on the trigger housing? If it's on the bottom of the housing on the outside then there's a good chance it could be Winchester. BTW, for the most part, all Underwood carbines were type one carbines meaning they had flip sights and type one barrel bands. I feel uncomfortable using those terems there, but for the most part it's true. Again, pictures would be really great here.
