    Source for M1 Bayonet scales

I just received a bayonet, purchased on-line, for my M1icon. For the price I don't think I did too bad but, being a little bit OCD, I'm a bit distressed over the fact that the guard is a bit loose due in part to the scales being undersized and thus a very poor fit. I would appreciate any leads as to where I might purchase a replacement set. Here's what my bayonet looks like in its present condition:

Parts ocassionally show up on ebay. A lot of guys buy the South Korean ground down M1icon bayonets and take the parts from them. Frank Trzaska has one for sale on his site right now.

The poor fit is normal and fairly common. Before you buy a new set you may want to try them on your bayonet as they may be nearly as bad as what you have now. However, yours is about as bad as it gets. I have seen bayonets with one side fitting well and the other being loose. Wartime tolerances were on the broad side to try to keep hand fitting to a minimum although I have M1icon bayonets where one or the other of the grips has obviously been filed to fit.
