So which Cartouche is on your M1

I was on Armslist looking for second M1 and saw 2 completely different Cartouches on a M1 Inland from the same seller. I dont know if they changed them but i do know the M1A1icon had a smaller one than the rifle. I want and need to know some different ones on other M1's Thanks

I wouldn't go by those as they are wrong. Those were from Harrisons book which has a lot of wrong or outdate info in it. There is not one book that has all of the acceptance stamps correct. If you find a stock with two different size stamps on it then I would question if even one of them is real. M1A1icon stamps were smaller then the standard for Inland because of the location of the stamp being on the grip where the large stamp would not fit.

It shows the Inland with different sizes in the M1A1icon and the M1 Rifle..im sure you correct about being out dated, but ive been doing some looking up myself and seen a bunch of correct ones, but i didn't list the thread as "These are the Correct Cartouches" im glad you have a opion though, since the last couple of years since getting into these M1, i take alot of stock in what peolple have to say and also see other collectors correcting themselves here to. So thanks for replying ive learned so much since i joined 4 months ago. I like to ask and i never give info, im not any where close to what alot of these seasoned collectorsknow, Thanks

This is one of the best Inland Ordnance stamps I've seen. The ones on the buttstocks were rather large, perhaps the biggest one used by any of the makers.
