    newly assemble Lee enfield

    Just picked up a no1 mk3* dated 1917 but assembled from parts in 2014 by C&G FIREARMS here in the uk. all matching serial numbers immaculate bore and unissued wood this rifle is stunning and the chaps Neil and Chris who I met for the first time last night at C&G are absolute gentlemen.not sure how to upload pictures here but if I find out how I will stick some up.

    Well, yes, as you'd expect if they were all freshly stamped on there?

    Did they use a No4 butt and cocking piece/striker?

    Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

    Does it have one of those new Lothar Barrels, I suppose its quite Similar to what Parker Hale were doing with the Springfield rifles a few years back.

    Looking forward to the photos. Ma Parker was also assembling rifles from parts in the 1980s, and selling them as such.
