    New Mosin Nagant 91/30

I just picked up a Tula 1936 Mosin Nagant and had some questions about it. I removed the stock and can't find any import marks. Thought it might be a SCW rifle, stock is sanded with no marks on it, doesn't have Made in USSR stamp and no wire sling hangers. The serial numbers all match, none are lined out, bolt only has last four numbers. Under the receiver, behind the front bolt hole are three Russianicon letters with 335 stamped. Was wondering what they are for, doesn't match the serial number. Headspace is good, bore looks very good just a little dirty, there is still lacquer on the inside of the stock. I have included some photos of most of the marking, any answers about them would be appreciated. There are star stamps in various places also. This is my first Mosin. Thanks, Chris

Nice Mosin Nagant, I like how it still has the brass end caps. It would have been manufactured just after going to the round receivers due to the date (there were some hexagonal receiver 91/30s manufactured in 1936). The bolt is all mixed and matched. Just from that one picture I noticed the pre-1928 Tula hammer in a circle stamp on the cocking piece and the Izhevsk Triangle (after 1928) on the retaining lug. The star with the 36 on the tang is the marking for a 1936 manufactured Tula receiver.

Those are the markings I can quickly identify, I would have to dig to find my book with all the markings on them.

Thanks, was told the bolt was replaced, didn't know who to tell, thought there would be an old lined out serial number. Any idea about the numbers on the bottom of the receiver, you can kind of see them in the first picture to the left of the screw hole. Couldn't get the camera to focus on them.

Look like random inspector marks and such to me. I am sure each one of them had a meaning but I am not aware of what they are.
