At the 'Penny Lane' in Richmond, Virginia there is a SMLE with fixed bayonet. I have never seen a pub so Britishicon, especially in Britain!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. There was a log cabin style restaurant not far from me near the ILL/Wis state line that had old guns every were you looked on the walls. There must have been 20 or more on the walls and in the back room was another bunch of them. I was able to talk the owner out of two 1863 Springfield muskets and a 1873 Springfield carbine for a very reasonable price, Ray

Antique firearms do turn up in unexpected places. Many years ago we stopped at a motel someplace in Oregon, that had a gun room in the back of the lobby, that as I recall were for sale. I identified several nice Civil War rifled muskets cal.-.58 among the many long arms in the racks, that I remember being priced at $35.00 each.

Restaurant south of San Diego (no not that far south) had on display rifles, shotguns, and pistols marked to Wells Fargo & Co. One Colt M1873 pistol on display, with the oddest patina, had been recovered from a bucket of molasses.
