LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Trijicon warrants that products manufactured by Trijicon will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. Trijicon will repair or replace (at our option) the registered product. This warranty does not apply to defects caused by anything which is deemed abnormal, abusive, or improper including any fault resulting from an accident or improper service. This warranty specifically applies to the optical systems and metal structure of the product and does not apply to the illumination system.

The Tritium will run out and is not covered under the limited lifetime warranty of the original owner. Tritium replacement can cost $600.

The Tritium is on a sliding scale also for the original owner. No warranty for Non-original owners
The models with Dual Illumination is 14 years (like TA31). Starts at date of manufacture
The models with single Illumination is 10 years (like TA01).

Before you buy a used Acog, check with Trijicon on this.

Have you had a problem with your ACOG? I'd like hear from someone who has sent one back to Trijicon, as some manufacturers will repair out of warranty scopes at a nominal cost.

I think it's well known that tritium has a half life of 12.3 years. Usually that means that by 10-15 years, you will notice that the tritium has dimmed. The ACOG also has the fiberoptic strip that, in daylight, should be adequate for most users, even if the tritium is old. Users in the military & police don't find the expense of replacing tritium to be a problem; they aren't paying for it.

It's cheaper to send it to the factory and replace it than buy a new sight. I've had great service from Aimpoint, Trijicon and others over the years.

I don't see how it's a problem, unless one holds Trijicon accountable for the laws of physics. I've a pile o' ACOGs, some pretty old now, and they all do fine in the dark.

I had to send an ACOG Reflex sight back to them. The tritium bulb or vile cost me about $150.00 to replace. I was disappointed they didn't cover it but they claim I got solvent on it which I know I did not.
