    just a standard shotgun, or trench gun? the last standard 97 i messed with had a screw in bead, and was steel.
    i belive the trench is a press fit bead, maybe someone that has replaced one can chime in.

    heck, just chase the hole, you can get a shotgun bead kit from Brownells pretty cheap.
    of if you want call me, my shop min, would cover that parts and all. i have a few beads, and sizes. some pretty close to the little one on the old Winchesters.
