A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I've seen this pic before. I'd love to get a bit closer look at this mish-mash they've cobbled together.

Very creative - a P14 fitted with a PU scope! A rifle that is nearly a century old. I wonder if the black plastic thing in the background will still be around in a century from now? I doubt it - the plastic will probably have degenerated and be incapable of restoration. The P14 on the other hand...

I like how the P14 still has the volley sights as well

Note the shiny, glossy finish on the heigh adjustment turret. I believe it's one of the modern reproduction PU scopes. Cheap and easily available. Wonder how it was screwed to the receiver? Looks cut off and crudely work of art.

How about that high tec rubber band sling choker at the wrist. I need one of the combat covers on the AR man.

As the saying goes - necessity is the mother of invention - I've also seen pictures of a Enfield No 4 mounted with a SVD PSO scope, but that was from the Afghan area. I wonder how he feeds the glorious old P14? I was once unfortunate enough to be given bunch of Iraq made .303 - possibly the worst .303 ammo I've ever dealt with.

The Iraqi 7.62mmx39 was the same way. Misfires, separated cases, loose heads etc. etc. Real junk ammo.

Its more important to make a fashion statement!

Each to his own, no helmets at all.

On the other hand its not spray and pray either!
