Winchester M1917 Bayonet W Circle with Proof mark

I recently pick up a Winchester M1917 bayonet with circle W and no US martial marks. To complete my collection of all the variations of the P14/M1917 bayonets. This one looks like most of the examples I have seen except it has the "X" bend test inspection mark on reverse side of the ricasso. Here are some photos and I have also include the my other Winchester US marked M1917 for comparison.

All the examples of the Circle W M1917 I have seen before as far as I can remember and the few images I can find on line do not show this version with any inspection marks of any type. Has anyone ever seen one or own one with the X mark? So then the next question come up is it a real or fake? The bayonet is in excellent condition and by all other traits appears to be the real deal. Yes, it is good. Just a blade that had gotten that far in the inspection process but was not used prior to the end of government contract deliveries.
