    Peter,

Not with my good lady, trust me

Fortunately for me my Brownie point account is now full to bursting which means I can shortly bog off on a Jolly Boys Outing to Flanders for a week in the full knowledge that I won't be on "deaf and dumb dinners" for a fortnight on my return. There's a method in the madness.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

P.S. Not to mention I particularly enjoy the craic with the Geordies in a proper working man's boozer whilst conveniently avoiding hanging around like a spare part outside the endless shops.

QUOTE=Peter Laidlericon;324793]I did have wry smile or chuckle to myself at your comment in thread 2 Simon. I don't know about the rest of the world but surely, a rainy day in Birminghamshire with a grumpy wife in tow would definately bring more on more brownie points than a sunny day in Geordieland.............[/QUOTE]

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. All depends what one is after PE, I dropped off Waco16's recent purchase and had a mooch about, to be honest no bayonets really caught my eye except for some of the prices..... Buccaneer kindly donated a part for My No8 (Big thanks for that Paul), bought part of a PH5 rear sight and got a last minute deal on a Hensoldt - Wetzlar Ziel Dialyt 5x scope, need to find out some info on it first if its pre or post War, anybody here up on Germanicon scopes ?

Paul , Roger & Dave had some nice rifles, certainly brought in the crowds but don't know about the money ..... Guess if Roger is driving a new motor this week it went well for him.

I won't be getting it till the Autumn BD6 but after a slow morning I made a useful start to the fund today. Best fair I've had for the last 18 months or so.......

It was nice also to see you, Dave B., Waco, Nigel, & other friends.

Yeah in previous visits I've noticed the number of displays for shooters as opposed deac collectors has been on the rise. I usually like to go and have a mooch in any case - maybe next time!

It is knowing full well what the menu will be for the next while:
