Question Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency?

Here's your chance to let the media know where the people stand on our faith in God, as a nation.

MSNBC is taking a poll on whether "In God We Trust" should stay on our American currency.

Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency?
Yes. It's a violation of the principle of separation of church and state.
No. The motto has historical and patriotic significance and does nothing to establish a state religion.

No. Historical and patriotic significance not withstanding, the motto, "In God We Trust," reflects the very bedrock principles upon which this nation was founded. Some may find this historical reality offensive to their post-modern sensibilities in the same way that some find it offensive when they are informed that the current occupant of the White House is a foreign national incapable of demonstrating legitimate U.S. status. If post-modernist find this motto offensive to their politically correct sensibilities, that is their problem. We are under no obligation to affirm their efforts to bastardize history. Sincerely. Brucev

MSNBC? I wouldn't go to their site to wizz on it. No matter what the true vote would be, they will spin it to suit the whims of The Leaker, Dirtbag Olberman, Anxious Andrea, or Mad Maddow.

What if somehow the motto was removed from currency. What are they going to do, confiscate every coin and dollar bill ever made? That would be harder than confiscating every gun.

In this day and time....I wouldn't change a thing in the US ....except the current administration.
Our fathers and their fathers died for what's being stepped on right now!

    As for MSNBC.....

The first amendment guarantees "freedom OF religion" not "freedom FROM religion". The declaration of independence refers directly to a "Creator".

    Currently 14% yes, 86% no.

Not that it will mean anything, as another posted alluded they'll spin it to whatever they want anyway.

Or if it keeps going this way, they'll eventually shut down the "poll" & just pretend it never existed......

We must rid ourselves of references to old "gods". The only GOD that counts is the NEW MESSIAH. This is a minor irritation to HIM and HE will deal with it in due time.

Atheiests are like radical muslims, they whine because they can't get everyone to believe in their version of the world.
