    RFI marked no.4 mk.1*

I have this rifle that appears to be a scrubbed Savage no.4 mk.1* that was rebuilt in india in 1966.
Cannot find much info on this although another forum member was kind enough to post a pic. of the same reciever markings found in the enfields in India book.
I have seen similar rifles marked 'FR' where the 'P' mark is on these two rifles, I am looking for any info on the P stamp.
    thank you in advance.

Ain't answered the question but....... Something about the finish of that rifle, whether it's high finish blued of extra glossy black paint and the markings stamped afterwards, the barred-out and the (hopelessly amateurish) restamped Mk1* markings just look alien to me

What's the import stamp behind the ejector screw say?

The sling which is late issue Britishicon L1A1 is on upside down.
