Correct Sauer 38H magazine type for serial number range

I recently purchased a WWII Germanicon Sauer 38H, it came with one magazine which has an S&S on the bottom. I want to pick up a send magazine but want the correct type. The serial number is 360XXX, can anyone confirm whether the magazine should have a blank base or S&S on it?

Attached is a picture of the one I have that came with the pistol.

    Thanks! David

    'Ikgmadmax' - Very nice looking J. P. Sauer M38!

I have a nice one (#436041) that an Uncle brought back from WW2. It was given to me with 2 magazines, a poorly fitting Germanicon holster, and 'bring back papers'.

One magazine was identical to yours with the 'Sauer & Sohn' zinc base plate. The second magazine had a plainer, blued steel base plate, simply marked "7.65 cal."

OT: when you guys mention sauer and sohn my mind automatically goes to:

it's a sauer and sohn twin zenith ndix kit for a dual port aircooled vw.

...one day i'll find a kit on a day when there's money that can be spent...
