    Identify this power

Hi All, my first post about a topic and hopefully I've placed it in the appropriate area. I've got some powder that I'm not sure what it's for, black powder rifle or revolver. Either way I can't use it so I was wondering if anyone can identify it. Made in Franceicon and I know it's at least 17 years old. Google wasn't much help.

    Thanks.

This is a Frenchicon rifle black powder that is still in production (near Strasbourg). The grains are fairly coarse and it is appropriately used for long-range BPCRs or muzzle loaders such as the cal.58 Enfields. BP does not suffer chemical degeneration, as it is a mixture, not a compound. So if it has been kept dry and is not badly clumped, then it should still be usable. If you have no use for it, give it to a BPCR or muzzle-loading rifle shooter.

Thanks for the help Patrick. I know someone who could use this.
