Question Pop up sights for ar-15. Can they be mounted on each end the receiver picatinny rail?

Fellow Grunts: I GOT A GREAT DEAL ON A BUSHMASTER C15 WITH BUSHNELL RED DOT SIGHT. I ALSO GOT A NICE SET OF POP UP TACTICAL SIGHTS. The front sight won't fit the gas block tube. Will I have any problems if I mount them BOTH on the receiver picatinny rail, at either end, about 9'" ins. apart. They went on good and SIGHT PICTURE LOOKS FINE but the short sighting distance, might cause a problem. Does anyone know? HELP!

    THANKS AND GOD BLESS

    Jerry

They should go on...but not much sight radius there. Why not just use the optic? Why doesn't the front sight fit? Maybe it's not such a good deal then...

    What he said.

Or get a free-float fore-end with a top rail and do it properly.

You can even get a full length rail to consolidate the upper and front rail so there's no possibility of movement after zeroing.

yes , there is an item out there that incorporates front and rear on an 8" mount that attaches to the rail , i think they were intended for three gun and to be mounted in the cant position for close range work with a scoped rifle/carbine , but as noted not much sight radius and not very affective at distance ,

You can replace the hand guard with one that has a top rail. They are available in carbon to go with your carbon gun.

and then there is the gas block with rail that will give you the extended radius - it all depends on why you want them
