It looks too square. It should be rounded with the usual .303" protrusion of between .040" low and .050" high according to my old wartime Armourers instructions booklets.

As Peter says check the amount the firing pin is protruding it looks too much. 50thou is supposedly ideal, much less than 40thou and it may not fire. I had a no4 at < 40thou and it sulked occasionally, gunsmith took it to 56thou and it now always fires. You cannot get p14 strikers now apparently so the std fix is a P17 one run in a lathe to the correct OD and then yes the end well rounded.

Rounded the FP tip with dremel this afternoon and installed a 22# Wolff striker spring. Fired 10 rounds with no pierced primers.

Another forum member suggested o rings above the cartridge rims to fire form brass to my chamber
