This was the first vintage colt 1911 I added to my collection when sarco was selling them only time I ever did a mail order gun got there best grade for 699.00 this one was made in 1932 in the USAicon and shipped to Argentinaicon for there Police kind of funny importing US made colts back to the USA were they were born. There are issue marks on the barrel and the slide a matching number gun. I replaced the recoil spring and the firing pin spring had the gun smith look at it safe to go. Kind of beat but a good shooter better than using my Remington Rand that I shoot once in a while. Did not know if this is considered a service 1911 but it was a service gun to a Police officer once. I guess sarco sold out of them don't see them on there web site any more. Don't see many of these at gun show do see the contract ones that were made in Argentina not many of the US made Hartford ones.
