Webely revolver??? Find at gun show

WEBELY REVOLVER FIND AT GUN SHOW. Hi guys while set up at local show wife an I bought a group of revolvers an rifles off an estate. I think this one is a mark VI. I do not have any knowledge of these revolvers. Markings are cal 38 proof's an 43 on barrel. cylinder is marked sbn.763some little mark an a 3.frame in front of cylinder looks like 38"7673.5 ton. by grip is aletter AT an 2 star'. 5 inch barrel wood grips lanyard ring on base.. Also got kommer 25 auto. rheinische 380.auto.,f.lselb.st.lader drgm380auto.. 2 sears 22 cal auto's an a h & r 20 gauge. any information you great guy's can enlighten me on i would thank you in advance.

That's not a Webley, it's a little Enfield No2 Mk1** linished to within an inch of its little life and blued. Missing the foresight (or has that too been filed down to within an inch of its life too?). But it has had Mod3 done. The left grip cleared to allow the thumb to operate the barrel catch

The "drgm" means that it is Patented/Trademarked in the German Patent Office.

THANKS guys i will correct that in my log. an yes front sight is filed way down. so is that a 38/200 which is not a 38 short right

I have a Langenhan, really like it. Your Enfield revolver appears to have some Hebrew markings on it. Nice finds!

The so-called .30-200 (actually called the "Cartridge S.A. Ball Revolver .380 inch Mark I") had a very short life: 1930 - 1938. For most of their life, British .38 revolvers used the "Cartridge S.A. Ball Revolver .380 inch Mark II/IIz", with a 178 gn. jacketed bullet. Oddly some revolvers were actually marked 38-200 long after the cartridge has been declared obsolescent. (Pistol, Revolver, .38 Smith & Wesson IIRC.)

Having said that I bought two of these last month. If I have dated the box code correctly they were made in 1962. (Kynoch made the Mk.1z for the British Government before the cartridge was ditched.) I shall soot the contents of one boxes for research purposes and keep the better looking one.

Usually I hand-load 38-200 for my .38 British service revolvers but I also use factory 38 S&W as well.

Hot blacked blued, hence the purplish colour on some parts.

all of the items i purchased including the 1000 pounds of parts are from estate of gun smith. so i believe he was re-doing alot of surplus for practice. Part i am picking rest up today from estate lawyer. Can not pass up deal for them do not know what's there yet. Cost is my time an my back to remove. side note the firearms cost me under 800.00 for all of them.
