A few pics of my No 5, and a couple of questions

Before I purchased this rifle, I was told by the gun shop employee that showed it to me, that he wasn't sure it was a legitimate No5. He said it should have proof marks on the barrel, forward of the handguard. I looked it over, and noted the proper lightening cuts in the receiver, and the 800 yard sight, and decided to chance it.
For $299.00, how could I pass it up? No5's are cool!

I'd like to hear any opinions on the rifle's legitimacy, or lack thereof.

After disassembly, I saw that the rifle's serial number had been electropenciled on the barrel. Does this indicate that the barrel has been replaced?

Be interesting to know the significance of this mark. It appears in a couple of places on the barrel and body.

    Other marks on the body.

One more thing, is the sling installed correctly?
    Thanks for looking.
