I picked this up from a dissolving private collection at the weekend - amongst the 10 to 12 strong Enfield examples, this one "spoke to me" best. It seems to have green paint deep in the details and to have survived the great war for a refit - the cutoff was added back later I guess. The butt is a replacement with Enfield stamp and non original disk. Headspace checked out so it is destined to be shot at paper...and be kept in this form, although I am still to remove any wood to check for other marks..
More when I can get free - any comments / observations?Information
