    Jlungman AG-42B 200 meter target

Handloads,200 meters from the bench. Swede 6.5 Jlungman AG-42-B. This rifle had some issues when I got it years ago. It was in like new condition but would tear a case in half 70% of the time. I made an adjustable gas valve(no damage to the rifle) that made this rifle one of the best open sighted semi-auto rifles I own. The trigger pull is light and as you can see it likes to place the bullets on target. It will shoot 10" groups at 600 meters

Thanks shd1911 for your comment. I try to shoot 100 rounds every week end out of various rifles to keep me up to par.

A 10 inch group at 600M is very impressive. That would put the FN/FAL and M-14 to shame. Hopefully the U.S. and Canadaicon go to a 6mm service rifle soon.
Very accurate and with a lot of punch.

I've been a big fan on the 6.5 X 55 for quite some time and shoot all of mine, everyone prints very, very nice groups. It's hard to believe other countries, like the one I live in always seem to over look the 6.5. I think the politics rather than the performance take hold all too often when selecting a caliber, IMHO-SDH

I had a jlungman years ago and had the same same problem with the casings (if I could find them). How did you make the gas valve adjustable? There was also an issue with the gun discharging more than one round, most of the time it would fire one round but every now and then it would fire two or three,or fire off the whole mag!

    Jlungman AG-42B 200 meter target

    Nice shooting !!
I have a 1943 that it's very accurate with surplus ammo but i had never tried with handloads of my own. Can you share your load data with the group and if you can include some pictures of your gas tube modifications we'll very grateful

Is it possible your original loads where out of spec for the AG42B? As I understand it hunting ammo is usually too hot for the AG.
