Correct. This was using 150gr Federal.

Everything seems fine. I'll bet you'd group closer if you put a Hogue or Pachmayr on for the range session. You can always change back after. I doubt you shoot it every week anyways...?

It's only been out twice. The wood grips are a bit small for me, and the trigger a bit too far. It's one of 14 pistols and revolvers I have. My carry piece is a 1936 M34 Beretta in 9mm short.

That's one I've never owned but always wanted. They used to be around for $50 and just about new...not any more. I owned a 948 Beretta in .22 that was the same thing, but sold that. You could try a Pachmayr with the open bottom and the lanyard ring could stay put. Then you can get hold of it. I changed all mine to Hogue monogrips so they all feel the same. It worked for me, but they're all civvie revolvers. Changing the grip will change your trigger finger position too...

Looks like you got that one just about new. Fuzz from the cardboard box still in the cosmoline... I could tell from the first pics it was about new...nice. That's an example I always wanted but can't find in Canada. Not many in .38 Spl made it here.

Most .38 specials (most of them with with 4" barrels) stayed in the U.S. (300,000 of 850,000 made), and the S/W 200gr special chambered pieces (most these with 5 inch barrels) went overseas as lend lease material (550,000 made).

Yes, that's my understanding. I've had a couple or so and changed them to 38spl by a complete cylinder parts change. They all worked fine. Mine of course were the 5" barrels...I've got a few S&Ws though...
