    solid butt plates

    I wish a did have a spare butt plate - not many originals around under $800 more for the butt plate with the Springfield drawing number C-46012.

    Sad that there were and still are some poor repros around, most did not have the correct
    distance between the two holes - which caused the person installing the fake butt plate to drill a larger 3/8 inch hole or larger in the bottom to angle the long screw downwards to meet the
    swivel and hope it will not cross thread. A lot of fakes were from Rahway NJ but the people in Calif made them too.

    Best Rahway fake is the WRA C-46012 stamped inside
