Seems peaceful here. Hopefully we can stay away from the cartouche issues.

Announcement Re: Jouster gone: It might be good to email this link...

to anyone in email contact with posters from the old site to bring them here. I already emailed admin to see if they can post a link to redirect people here. I guess that may take a little work.

    Hello Pete ...

The system read your post when you made it and it automatically decided it was "spam" and placed it in the queue to be checked and moderated. A moderator must have reviewed it this morning and decided it was a legitimate post and it was released publicly...

Our apologies for any inconvenience, but it does happen from time to time...

BTW, Gloria approved re-introducing the post edit function and t is active, but only for 60 minutes following the date/time stamp of the original post.

    Regards,
    Badger

    Working on that Jeff....

Something went wrong technically and we can't see to get the redirect functioning properly....

Now it's the weekend and trying to get hold of tech staff is a challenge..

If people would post around to other forums about the switch over, that would be great ...

I think we have most everybody who was regular, but we are seeing some stragglers. Gloria wanted an immediate (24 hour) change over, but we decided for the benefit of the member base, it would be better to run parallel for five days or so, which I think has helped....

Will try to advise when we can solve the tech issues of the redirect ...

    Regards,
    Badger

Update: Just got this from tech support ...

    All fixed!

You might still see the old page for a day because your DNSicon servers have the old IP cached. But the change is made and the milsurps.com site will come up when you enter Joustericon.com or www. jouster.com!

I shot the cat because he ate my Australianicon black swans. He was running at the time, and they are hard to hit on the run with a bolt action rifle.
