    I am asking the person in charge of the disposal for their permission to pass on the DVD that I was sent with the hope it can be uploaded to a gallery. Cannot say a lot more at the moment. Had hoped to see it this Oct but that will not be possible.

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. But on the Q of the Mk5, it's a bit of a hobby horse of mine. We had a lot of info about these as the trials were instigated and controlled by the SASC (as was) from Hythe and there was a bit of paperwork there that I could put my hands on PLUS several original and untouched rifles. I used to bang on to the L-E visitors about it but how many took up my offer of free and total access to research it?
    Pity that. I can think of one obvious candidate for the job.

    I have a No1 Mk5 recently acquired. It needs a rear sight. Of course. Also not sure if I will keep or sell. Time will tell.

    If you place a WTB here in the correct forum, you will likely get a response with the correct sight. I just sold one last Oct...that I found here.

    Thanks, not sure if I want to sell it. However I was wondering if anyone has fabricated the rear sights from a pattern 14 or 1917.

    WTB = Want to BUY
    WTS = Want to SELL

    He suggested you to place a "want to BUY" ad for a No. 1 Mk.V rear sight, so in case someone has a spare one can offer it to you

    You can get repros. P14 sight is way off you might as well start from scratch.
