Where to sell 1903 rifles
Hello
Due to some recent heath problems I am going to be selling the bulk of my firearms collection. I have 6 1903/1903a3 rifles and I am wondering where might be the best place to sell them. Auction, Classifieds, Consign with Jack the Dog or other?
Thanks
Greg

If I were you, I'd first start with posting some more information here, probably there are folks interested in them.
To get the most money for your rifles, list them as penny auctions on gunbroker.com with no reserve. Use as much pictures as possible, this will help people evaluate the rifle themselves.

My first choice has always been to list on individual rifle sites, like this, Jouster, CMP, etc. While you do have to provide a good description, etc., you also can set whatever price you want and whatever price you get is all "yours" - you don't pay fees to an auction house or gun store.
I would at least try that and if you don't get a response, you can still go with the other suggestions.

Thank You both for the sound advice. I will do some research as to the regulations for listing WTS on this site and start there.

I have found that Gunbroker has the best exposure & will bring the highest prices. But, you must be able to post high quality photos, as well as provide a detailed description of each gun. And, of course, you have to know all regulations, & how to ship by USPS & common carriers.
If I didn't have the time or expertise to do it myself, there is a broker named "Locust Fork" who will sell your guns on Gunbroker for a 10% commission; she has a big following, & the high price realized will likely exceed the commission.

I tend to agree with Rick and think that sites that actually deal with these rifles would be best. Nothing worse than trying to sell in a place people are only mildly aware of your rifle's value.
