Aussie flavored 1917 BSA.
Picked this old girl up today..started life as a 1917 BSA No1, then ended up in Australia at some point. FTR marked, I believe in 1951. Barrel is dated 1951 as well. The history behind this piece must be incredible..WW1, WW2, probably Korea. Enjoy the pics!

Got to love these rifles, as you say, lots of interesting history with them, great find, let us know how she shoots

Think pooled Ordnance stores in the North African campaign. Large part of the Australian Forces return to Oz taking their equipment with them including small arms to defend Aust from Japanese. Your rifle goes with them and is taken into Aust Military ownership............
