Patrick, even if I would copy your foresight mounting, it would be currently impossible.I found no retailer here in Franceicon or Germanyicon who offers an .075 marked blade.
That's curious, I only find original blades from 0 to .045. The .075 does exist in their catalog, but is out of stock.
So you gave me your sighting configuration, any other mounting by members?

There is no point in ordering another foresight. Just file down the blade on the one you have!

Suggested in post 11...doesn't seem to suit him either. It certainly would be easiest.

Jim and Patrick...It doesn't suit me that's true. But why? look please at the first photo I joined to the post and you will agree with me that there is a huge problem with the thickness of the sight too!
I'm not able to have a good 6 o'clock hold on a 8 in. target at 100m with this slaughtered front sight.Finding a good locating axis is to random.
    Regards

M1917 used the same blades as the P14. And the P14 used Enfield blades. So look for Enfield foresight blades - they are supposed to fit.

If you can't find anything in Franceicon, try here:

    http://www.sportarms.com/pdf/Sonderflyer_Visiere.pdf

Line 28: "Korn" = foresight blade

Note that the heights given include the dovetail ("Schwalbenschwanz").

So file down the bad one until it has a suitable height, measure it, and then order the next TALLER size - because you can file that down a little bit, if necessary. But a blade that is too short will be useless, as you will not be able to zero the rifle.
