    no32 scope mounting

does anyone know of someone who works on and can properly mount and colminate a repro no.32 scope. I am just finishing up the restoration of my LB sporter and looking to finish it with one of the available repro scopes out there but have heard they could use a little working on before they're good to go. Thanks

Maggie, a quick word of advice if I might be so bold. Save twice and buy once. There IS an old wanting original No32 scope out there with YOUR name on it just waiting for you to find it - which you WILL, believe me. There are probably one or two people in the known universe that are happy with their expensive repro No32 telescopes. Just look for a heap of old tat at the gun shows and have it rebuilt to new. It can easily be done. Which is more than you can say about a repop in my limited experience

Added later: Just re-read the Q. If it's just advice on correctly mounting and collimating a repop mount and scope on your restored rifle then the answer has already been detailed on the forum somewhere

    One for you PL

Just for a complete tangent Peter here is a Holland & Holland badge I picked up along the way from the East coast Au, I wonder if they give them away with every gun you buy, me I could never afford one of their guns.

I think that they gave them to shooters who came for instruction at their shooting ground who would sew them onto their expensive shooting jackets. I used to know one of the instructors there......, not that I've ever fired more than a few shots from a commercial shotgun.
