God bless the man who had the insight to save that nose art and the CAF for preserving and displaying it.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... He flew over the Hump and was in the Berlin airlift with one plane landing every 30 seconds from memory, there is another stunt where he circles is it Mare Isl going down and just makes the strip after just taking off from it with another plane taking off towards them as he is semi crashing on the same runway? He also unknowingly solved an unporting problem that killed other crews by sheer luck otherwise allot more crews and passengers would have perished before the problem would have been found.

Anyway he was pre war air mail, then air transport and post war an airline pilot I have read the book twice and am due to have another
CINDERS, your father was a HERO! I was the 'Crew Chief' of my local group for over ten years. We had to work a LOT on the engines etc, but she was a GREAT aircraft!!

We were flying IFR here and rain dripping inside. Our R4D is thee ONLY aircraft in the CAF that may IFR.

I've ridden in dozens of 'Daks' back in the day and have been fortunate enough to have flown two (from the right seat). It will always be the greatest transport aircraft ever made as far as I am concerned.
