    My Remington P14

I was shooting my old P14 the other day and it occurred to me to post here and see if any one wanted to comment on it.

It's an import and is marked on the underside of the barrel: "SPR SPT RN PA 303 P14 USAicon", which I believe is Springfield Sporters, an importer and seller of surplus parts.

Some of the markings on the old girl are" RE in an oval, an asterisk, and the serial #67918 on the receiver ring. The number is also stamped on the top of the arm of the bolt handle. Many parts (safety rocker, sling swivel) are stamped "E" for Eddystone. The stock, judging from the circled IW stamped on it, is a Winchester. The barrel is a 5-groove LH twist, an original P14 barrel but I've no idea if it's original to this rifle.

I've had this rifle since 1992 and can't remember where I got it; I think at a live auction. The old girl shoots pretty well.

I haven't tried to post pictures on this site yet. It's a hassle I've not mastered on some other sites. Is it easy here? I'll try to take and post photos if I can and if any one is interested

Your Patn '14, cal..303, "Enfield" was originally made by Remington, Ilion, NY. The "E" (Eddystone) marked parts and "IW" (Winchester) marked stock are replacements made in the service of the rifle.
