What's the best guess on serial range?

There was an article in the GCA Journal on s/n 189209 that had a revision 2 operating rod (with single keystone spring too) reported as original rifle from my friend Norm in MN

There are two notations in Campbell's Notebook about the rod in that general area: in November 1940 he says "First rifle with new tooling on op rod" and in December he says "First rifle with new tubing used on op rod." I don't see a structural change on the -2 rod, so I'm guessing the drawing mod concerns method of construction, not shape. It sounds like simply a different tubing.

I picked up a -1 and -2 rod, both modified with the early style relief cuts.....both on restoration projects now....-1 on 86xxx, and -2 on 190xxx.
There is a cut -1 on GB right now.
