I watched the video again, no sign of a sling loop, but that external loop is for the butt stock to lock into.

Yes, the stock locks into the square hole on the bottom of the band.




The sling loop is on the right side of the band.



Seems like a strange place to put it Or maybe someone just put it the band on wrong?
