    M17 with the receiver cutout

Looked at a Rem. M17 with the reciever cutout. Mostly Rem. parts, bolt, barrel. Stock does not have a R. Has not been sanded and with a red stripe on handguard and stock. Anything new on the cutout? Import marked. Could get it for 500.00 to 550.00. Ok price?

Sounds like the Norwegianicon cutout. Check if the front sight is a pin, if yes it was from Norway given to Denmarkicon.

US produced, sold to Commonwealth, given to Canadaicon, sold to Norwayicon, sold to Denmarkicon ..... Who knows? Check the stock for Canadian markings. Check the front sight to know if it was Danish.

Check the bore real well. If it looks good then it should be a good shooter.
