the Britishicon Brodie style helmet in the first photo is the most collectable of the two, since it has the CD insignia and the helmet is more like a military type steel helmet worth about $20

the second one with the huge dome is the most common type and the least valuable, I had some of these and could NOT even give them away, they arent even worth the cost of shipping, maybe worth $5 at the swap meet.

maybe you could use it for bullet penetration tests? just for fun, to see how well it holds up to shotgun blasts or small handgun fire.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. The first one (Brodie style) is a civilian helmet (Hard Hat) made by the Acme Protective Company some time later as March 2, 1926. That's when Edward Cairns patented the liner, patent #1,575,251 .
