    Enfield Envoy

Could anyone tell me if the bolt body diameter is the same for the SMLE and the Envoy? I will receive in a few weeks an Envoy and I have a machined bolt guide for my SMLE and am curious if it will fit both. Many thanks

The bolt for your Envoy/No4 is not the same as your SMLE/No1 rifle. What is a bolt body guide?

A bolt guide - I'm guessing a hollow bolt-like device for use with a cleaning rod? Remove bolt, insert guide, feed cleaning rod in?

I've measured the diameter of both bolt types, they are very close, but the No 4 long rib/right locking lug is wider than the one on the SMLE.

It seems to me than an SMLE bolt (without bolt-head) will slide into a No 4 receiver, but not the other way round.

You will find out for sure in about 21 days.....

Hows about ~ cleaning rod guide use them on all my rifles so the rod is centered to the bore whilst cleaning it so you do not cord the lede on one side same goes for the muzzle if your using a brush just be careful how you push and pull it through there as well

Yes, the main dimensions of the No1 and No4 actions are the same - including the bolt bodies.
