Typical, a fireball. Apparently the VC like them too. I have several drawings of the nearly same thing as used by them. And variations, captured of course...

I wonder how the bolt on the "folding stock" Advisor looks after firing a few 30 round mags "full auto"? There are good closeups in that video. Looks like they lubed the heck out of the M2 version - lots of oil spattered on the receiver. Both guns have very low serial numbers, but I see a solid front sight pin, rather than the split pin I thought was normally installed. - Bob

Right on Chris...Just like I mentioned right after the OP'S question a M16. I forgot the Handgun...it would be a CZ 85 Combat 9mm with Adjustable Rear Sights plus How can you beat that 19 Round Mag plus +1 in the chamber. It's a Nice Tough Built Pistol and Glad I have one.

Good to see you Frank, I too would likely just take an M4 because they're so prevalent now. Think I said that way back there too...

Just out of curiousity (and ignorance), is mounting a pistol into a rifle stock, i.e. your Owen, legal?
Never midn, I see where you intend to sbr it

If you use a new production receiver which has never been assembled as a Carbine or rifle but instead assemble it as a pistol, it's fine.

I don't think you just slap your pistol receiver into a rifle stock though, for the same reason you can't just buy one of these at Big5 cash & carry
Since it's shot from the shoulder it is by definition a rifle

And they're sure neat at reasonable ranges too...

If he hadn't chopped the butt stock off, yes he would need to pay the sin tax.
In this case he's GTG it's still just a "pistol". The origin of the stock is irrelevant it's the receiver that is key.
Probably should put a SIG brace on though, you know, so he can shoot one handed and all.

Great thread on this post. I picked up an M1 Carbine long time ago. A friend that served in NV in connection with light observation planes remarked he was issued an M1 Carbine and soon the new people got M16s. He got the M16 and considered it a needed upgrade. I would take my cheap Chinese SKS. I love my M1 Carbine and have great respect for the .223 but after seeing the penetration of the 7.62x39 combined with the accuracy and durability, my SKS Would be ready. Handgun? A .45 ACP or .357 with 125 Grain hollow point. Tilt to a .45 with enough clips. This was reinforced by getting a neighbor for about a year, a young solder sent home from Iraq after 2 tours in urban settings. First thing he did was get a .45 when he got home. He is a great kid, served bravely and gave specific chilling reasons. All being said, the first consideration for me is anything you can shoot well and know like the back of your hand.
So if I had to, my poor looking Swede M38 and my Astra 600/43 would work fine for me.
