    so whutinthedanghell am i doing wrong?
    i click on the box with the little mountains that says 'insert image' then i go to flickr.com and select an image, click on 'properties' then 'copy' and paste it here. all it prints is the url not the image.

    You encase the link in [ imgw ] link goes here [ /imgw ] brackets....

    So, your pic becomes a neat thumbnail like this....




    I'm not sure why it does that ...

    Forget about the "manage attachments " tab at the bottom of the page.

    Go to photobucket and find your pic.

    For each pic there are 4 'codes' /'email' etc.

    Copy the "IMG" code and it will automatically get you the square brackets and everything you need.

    Paste directly into the new message text area.

    Click on "quick Preview" (at the top of the message screen) and it will show if you've got the pic or not.
