    7.5 French Misc.

I some boxes of PPU and Middle Eastern 7.5 Frenchicon ammo and was wondering if someone could help shed some light on...

These PPU boxes are they military or commercial and what info can be gleaned from the info (or lack thereof) on the box? The headstamp says 78 and has an orange coating on the primer.

Also does anyone know any info on the boxes with the Arabic script on them? The best info I can gather is they are Syrian in origin. Any info on how they shoot?

Thank you all for your help!

This photo seems to most show a series of serial or lot numbers:

    Top row: 1957-3-11 (unknown script)
2nd Row: (unknown script) 375-1957-10 (unknown script)
3rd Row (unknown script) 2,60-1957-1-BFP (unknown script)
    4th Row (Unknown script)

The "OV" (57) on the case headstamps could be interpreted as confirming a 1957 production date.

That's all I can figure out without trying to relearn my limited knowledge of Persian languages.

I am pretty sure the Middle Eastern ammo is Syrian. They used the 7.5x54 in there Mas 49s and 49/56s (not sure if they had Mas 36s or 36/51s, haven't really taken much of a look at what they issued).
